Our approach

We aim to handle personal information openly and responsibly. Where the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles apply to RMH PARK, we manage information in accordance with those requirements.

01

Scope and who we are

This policy applies to personal information handled by RMH PARK through this website, enquiries, property and parking-asset discussions, contractual relationships and ongoing communications.

Personal information is information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable.

02

Information we may collect

Depending on your interaction with us, this may include:

  • your name, organisation, role and contact details;
  • information contained in enquiries, proposals, agreements and correspondence;
  • property, tenancy, supplier or operator information connected with a project;
  • payment and invoicing details where relevant to a commercial relationship;
  • records of meetings, requests, feedback and complaints; and
  • technical information such as IP address, browser, device, pages viewed and cookie data.

We usually collect information from you directly. We may also receive it from your authorised representatives, property owners, operators, advisers, contractors, publicly available sources or service providers. If required information is not provided, we may be unable to respond fully or progress a proposed engagement.

03

How we use personal information

We may use information to respond to enquiries; assess sites and commercial proposals; administer property, parking and asset-management relationships; coordinate operators and contractors; issue records and communications; maintain security; improve our website and services; and meet legal, tax, insurance, audit and record-keeping requirements.

Marketing communications

We may send relevant business updates where permitted. Commercial electronic messages will identify the sender and provide a practical way to unsubscribe. You can opt out at any time.

Cookies and analytics

We may use cookies and similar technologies for website functionality, security, preferences and analytics. You can manage cookies through your browser, although disabling them may affect parts of the website.

04

When information may be disclosed

Where reasonably necessary, we may disclose information to related entities; property owners; parking operators; facilities managers; tenants; contractors; professional advisers; insurers; payment, technology, hosting, communications and analytics providers; and government bodies, courts or law-enforcement agencies where required or authorised by law.

We do not sell personal information.

Overseas service providers

Some technology providers may store or access information outside Australia. The countries involved depend on the providers used at the relevant time. Where Australian privacy law applies, we take the steps required in relation to overseas disclosure. Contact us if you would like current information about likely locations.

05

Security, retention and data breaches

We take reasonable administrative, technical and physical steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet or storage system is completely secure.

We retain information for as long as it is reasonably needed for our activities or legal obligations. When it is no longer required, and the law does not require it to be retained, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

If a data breach occurs, we will assess and respond to it and make notifications required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme where that scheme applies.

06

Access, correction and choices

You may request access to personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. We may verify your identity and may refuse or limit access where the law permits; if so, we will generally explain why.

Where lawful and practicable, you may deal with us anonymously or by pseudonym. We may still need to identify you where this is necessary for a contract, property access, payment, security or legal requirement.
